Complex Ground Work For A Well Known Client
To form the structure of a basement, undertake structural modifications to the basement and ground floor, insert new windows and doors, reconfigure the new flat roof deck and ensure is raised and watertight.
The works comprised the design and construction of shell and core works to the basement and ground floor of existing accommodation at 67 Abingdon Road London W8 6AN.
This included the lowering of the slab level within the basement; and extending the accommodation at this level beneath the outer perimeters; up to and not exceeding the highways pedestrian foot path. This included the formation of new light wells and structural waterproofing of the same.
The works included for all new incoming services and all necessary fire protection to the upper levels.
The flat roof serving the rear ground floor storey level, and rear wall adjoining 63 Abingdon Villas Road was completely redesigned to obtain the internal minimal head heights required and to ensure storm water is directed to drainage away from the property.
We installed a new pumped drainage system linked to the gravity drainage.
Difficult access with flying freeholds and numerous party wall issues.
